The Work Behind the Conversations
We started this project because transformation stories were getting lost. People would mention in passing that they'd completely changed direction, then move on as if it were nothing.
What We Believe
Most people underestimate the significance of their own turning points. They minimize the courage it took to question everything. They forget how uncertain they felt before clarity arrived.
These stories matter not because they're dramatic, but because they're honest. Someone considering a major life change needs to hear from people who've navigated similar crossroads. Not inspiration porn. Not carefully curated success narratives. Real accounts of what it actually felt like.
Our Methodology
We approach each interview as an archaeological dig. The surface story is usually well-rehearsed. What interests us lies beneath: the doubts that accumulated, the moment uncertainty became intolerable, the first small actions that preceded the visible change.
Our questions don't follow a script. We listen for contradictions, unexplored threads, moments when someone's tone shifts. That's where insight lives.
Sessions typically run two to three hours. We record everything, then spend additional time with the material, identifying themes and connections the speaker might not have noticed themselves.
Who We Are
Our team includes former journalists, therapists, and people who've been through significant transformations themselves. We know what it feels like to sit on both sides of this conversation.
We're based in Canada but work with subjects internationally. What matters isn't geography but willingness to examine one's own story with honesty.
Why This Matters
Change is isolating. When you're questioning fundamental assumptions about your life, most people around you prefer you stay predictable. They mean well, but their advice often reflects their own fears rather than your situation.
Hearing from someone who actually made a similar leap provides something different. Not a blueprint, because everyone's path is unique. But evidence that the impossible becomes possible when you commit to it.
We preserve these narratives because they serve as proof. Someone else figured it out. You can too.
